Report: FinMinistry submits 30 firms for possible privatization
MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- The Finance Ministry has submitted a list of about 30 Russian state-controlled companies to the government for possible privatization, Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview to Rossiya 24 television channel broadcast on Thursday.
“The Finance Ministry has submitted a proposal to the government on the large companies in which the state owns more than 50%. We suggested a reduction of state ownership without losing a controlling stake. It could give us dozens or hundreds of billions (of rubles). The list has been submitted to the government, and we are to discuss it,” he said.
“There are about 30 large companies, reduction of state ownership in which could be considered,” he said.
